Recently, in the production workshop of JinHuan Art & Craft Products Co., Ltd in the Lanxi Economic Development Zone, the sound of machinery was constant, and workers were diligently operating on the assembly line. Batches of plastic granules were gradually transformed into beautifully shaped and uniquely styled picture frames through multiple processes such as extrusion, hot stamping, coating, and assembly.

This company, which specializes in picture frame production, initially focused on PVC pipes. As the market environment changed, the company keenly perceived the increasing competition in the traditional pipe industry, and around 2000, it transformed to produce plastic profiles used for picture frame borders, and gradually expanded to complete picture frame manufacturing. General Manager Du Hangtao, reflecting on the transformation decision, said: "Although picture frames are not a product that will experience explosive growth, the market demand is stable and long-lasting, with a solid customer base, making it suitable for long-term operation."

The transformation path was not without its challenges. Du Hangtao admitted: "The material characteristics are completely different. Picture frame profiles require specific toughness and gloss, requiring special raw materials, which are very different from pipe materials." Adjusting the material formula became the primary challenge, and the company had to repeatedly experiment to find the most suitable raw material ratio. At the same time, the use of new equipment also required a period of adjustment. JinHuan Art & Craft gradually accumulated experience and formed its own production system by consulting material experts, equipment suppliers, and industry peers. It took the company more than a year from the start of the transformation to achieving stable mass production.

Entering the JinHuan Art & Craft product showroom is like entering a "kaleidoscope" of picture frames. Du Hangtao picked up a picture frame and introduced it, saying, "Although it's made of plastic, the surface treatment process allows it to present the visual texture of wood or metal." The company utilizes techniques such as hot stamping and lamination to give the PVC picture frames a rich variety of appearances. Among them, the classic style sells millions of units annually and has become the company's flagship product.

"One of our raw materials—plastic granules—is produced in-house, mainly using resin and calcium hydroxide, along with auxiliary materials and environmentally friendly pigments, allowing us to produce granules in any color specified by the customer," said Ma Rongming, the production manager. These granules are not only the foundation for picture frame molding but have also passed strict environmental certifications from the EU and the US, giving the products a competitive edge in the international market.

The entire production process is subject to strict control. "From granulation, extrusion, hot stamping, and lamination to assembly, every step must meet the established quality standards to ultimately produce a perfect picture frame," Ma Rongming stated. This comprehensive quality control system ensures the high consistency and reliability of the products. Currently, JinHuan Art & Craft has formed a diversified product system covering various materials such as PS (polystyrene foam), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), and aluminum alloy.

The global picture frame market is worth over $6 billion, a market much larger than many people imagine, and the competition is fierce. To enhance brand influence and expand its customer base, JinHuan Art & Craft actively participates in international exhibitions such as the Canton Fair and is also heavily investing in online channels. "We have established a presence on B2B platforms for customized clients and bulk buyers, and we also reach the retail market directly through C2C platforms like Amazon. Now, more and more overseas wholesalers and customers are finding us through online channels," said Du Hangtao. Currently, the company's annual output value has reached 150 million yuan.

Facing the increasingly diversified market trends, JinHuan Art & Craft continues to promote product innovation and category expansion. In the workshop, reporters saw that to meet customer demand for MDF (medium-density fiberboard) wooden frames, the company has introduced several new professional machines and equipped them with efficient dust collection systems to maintain a clean production environment.

At the same time, JinHuan Art & Craft actively responds to the call for green manufacturing by installing a photovoltaic power generation system on the factory roof, saving approximately 50% of electricity costs compared to before.

In Du Hangtao's view, price is not the core competitive advantage for the company. The key to JinHuan Art & Craft's success in the fierce competition lies in consistently stable product quality, timely delivery, and quick response to customer needs. "We hope to create added value through high-quality service, genuinely helping customers solve problems and meet their needs. This is the path to sustainable development."
